Da’ GoodChild is an American Record Producer, Graphic Designer, Music Manager, Abstract Artist, Clothing Designer and Music Promoter. With his distinctive yet commercially appealing production style, Da’ GoodChild has been influential along with such producers as Timbaland, Kanye West, Dr. Dre and The Neptunes in shaping the sound of modern hip-hop and R&B music, working with artists such as T.W.D.W. (Team Work makes the Dream Work), Phan The Konnect Man, Trell Tha’ Trilla, Big Babby The College Kid, J.T.&T “More Bars, More Places”, Truth and X1 of Conquest Music, Magno, Rugged Individualz (iFeedBeatz.com), C.L. McCoy, O.J. da’ Juiceman, Just to name a few. Da’ GoodChild has produced albums and singles for a number of artists from the Late-1990s to the present day.
Mr. Ray better known by his stage name Da’ GoodChild was born in March in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Music has been a major part of his life since before he was born. When he was still in his mother’s womb his parents would put headphones on the outside of his mother’s stomach, playing jazz, blues, classical, hip hop, etc. It wasn’t until 1999 when he received his vision of being a music producer. In his early years of production, Da’ GoodChild’s music, had no structure. With influences from producers such as Timbaland, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, The Neptunes, and Quincy Jones, Da’ GoodChild soon learned the structure and style he needed to become a super producer.
Da’ GoodChild’s first credit production work was Rugged Individualz with the song 4sho (2002)…Since then he has worked with a number of different artist ranging from Australia, Texas, Chicago, St. Louis, Louisiana, Georgia and Oklahoma. Da’ GoodChild’s latest work includes the production of the smash singles “Feel Like”, “On Me”, “Scurrr (Gas)”, “Other Hand”, “Same ‘Ol Dream”, just to name a few and production of tracks featured on such albums as “Get Konnected” and “It’s Gon’ Be A Fee” & mixtapes such as “Artist Developement”, “Back 2 The A”, “Freshman Klass Bound 11.11.11” and also has appearances on the T.W.D.W. Series of Mixtapes entitled Kleaning Out Our Knotebooks and Heat Holderz: Volumes five and six Mixtapes. As of recent Da’ GoodChild has become a member of the record label We.R.K. ent. (pronounced Work), which stands for “We R Konnected” and Zombie Gang. With dreams and ambition of being one of the greatest producers known to man you can expect more great things to come from Da’ GoodChild and Goodie Bag Productions.
